Ann Arbor has many great restaurants, most of which are located downtown near the main university campus. The staple of all college-towns – the all American bar and grill – can be found on almost every block (Ashley’s, Grizzly Peak, Ann Arbor Brewing Company). In addition, there is good BBQ (Blue Tractor BBQ Company) and many options for ethnic food (Thai, Indian, Ethiopian, Cuban, etc):

Multiple choices for fine dining can be found on Main Street. Most notable are the Prickly Pear (fine dining Tex-Mex) and Jolly Pumpkin, but the other options are all very good as well.

Of couse, Ann Arbor’s most famous eatery is Zingerman’s Deli, which was rated “one of the top 25 food markets in the world” by Food and Wine magazine. The Deli and “Next Door” coffeeshop and gelateria are all located in the historic area of Kerrytown – also within walking distance of downtown Ann Arbor. For dinner, we suggest Zingerman’s Roadhouse, located on the outskirts of Ann Arbor.
